Workshops

The Fiscal Policy Studies Institute is offering two workshops
conducted by Mark Friedman

Two Day Training for Trainers and Coaches
(
Participation limited to 20)
Next dates
pending

This is an intensive two full day training session on how to teach the concepts of results  accountability and coach its implementation. Participants will learn how to conduct their own training sessions on the concepts of Results Accountability, how to conduct the most important training exercises, and how to help organizations and their leaders put these practices into operation. Because of the limited size of each class, the sessions provide lots of time for questions, answers and personal attention. (Note:  participants in these sessions must have completed RBA 101 or viewed the full workshop video tape available from the Foundation Consortium 916-646-3646 or www.foundationconsortium.org.)

Workshop times: Day 1:  8:30 AM to 4:00 PM  Day 2:  8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

For m

This is the widely-known basic workshop on the concepts and application of the FPSI framework to cross-community quality of life improvement and the management of programs, agencies, and service systems. In the morning session, participants will get a full presentation of the framework, including:

· How to establish results and indicators of well-being for children, families, and communities.
·  How to use results to drive decision making and budgeting.
·  How to identify performance measures for programs, agencies, and service systems.
·  How to use performance measures to improve performance, and
·  How program accountability links to cross community efforts.

In the afternoon, participants will apply these concepts to real work in a “Turn the Curve” exercise. Participants will receive the latest version of the Results Accountability Workbook and other updated materials.
